At long last: my dream bass! This bass has a custom Warmoth Gecko ultra-light swamp ash body with flame maple top and black dye finish in front with black burst on the back and a custom Warmoth wide 5-string maple neck with ebony fretboard and stainless steel medium jumbo frets, Hipshot aluminum bridge, Gotoh tuners, EMG P/J X series pickups in soap bar configuration, and a EMG preamp with stacked active treble and bass controls wired at 18V with aftermarket metal knobs. The string spacing is true 3/4" (19mm) at the bridge, giving it the same spacing as a Fender P-Bass, which is what I wanted in a 5-string, as for pulling and popping, my fingers can't seem to get the hang of something smaller. It was set up by Tom Shepard at T Shepard's Discount Music. It is still somewhat heavy despite the light body, mostly due to the neck. It plays extremely well and sounds great.
